Who Needs the HOVENSA RCRA Site-Specific Training?

Essentially anyone who needs training on Environmental Procedure S-001. To determine who needs S-001 refer to the PSM training matrix listing by craft and the training matrix listing by contractor task. Also refer to Procedure S-025 for more info on who needs RCRA Site-Specific Training. The latest versions of these documents are available on the HOVENSA Intranet or from the PSM Department


What is the Training?

Classroom training conducted by Pinnacle Services. There is one “HOVENSA RCRA Site-Specific” course available for all employees.


When Must Employees be Trained?

  • New employees must receive the training within their first 6 months of employment.
  • New employees are not allowed to work unsupervised until they have received the training. (i.e. – a trained supervisor must be at the job site with new employees that have not yet received training).
  • Annual Training - All employees must receive this training annually.


How Do I Schedule the Training?

  • Contact Pinnacle Services (340-692-3500) to schedule your employees.


Why Must my Employees Attend this Training?

The HOVENSA RCRA Site-Specific Training is a legal requirement. As per 40 CFR §§ 264.16 and 262.34(a)(4), all HOVENSA and Contractor employees identified in the PSM training matrices must receive this training.
